The Village of Field

The Village of Field Field is an unincorporated community of approximately 150 people located in the Kicking Horse River valley of southeastern British Columbia, Canada.

Field is the only community within the confines of Yoho National Park and is located 27 km (17 mi) west of Lake Louise and 55 km (34 mi) east of Golden along the Trans-Canada Highway, which provides the only road access to the village. The area where Field sits today was established in 1884 during the building of the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) as a staging area for construction known as Third

Siding. In December of 1884 the community was given its current name, by the CPR, to entice investment from American businessman Cyrus West Field.

Can't wait to see everyone at the Hall this Saturday!

2026 YOHO BLOW SCHEDULE

On Saturday, February 21st the fun will kick off at 8am in the Field Community Hall for some breakfast before the bocce tournament will get going at 9am.

Bocce will break for lunch at noon and there will be a BBQ at the Hall. Our wonderful FRAA volunteers have arranged a relay race for the kids at 12:30 and our annual heritage relay race will start at 1pm. Bocce will continue at 2pm, or whenever we have announced a winner for the heritage relay!

The sign up sheet for Bocce will be at the bulletin board in town. We can’t wait to see y’all Saturday, February 21st for some good ol’ fashioned Yoho Blow fun ❄️🛷☃️
