Our Grade 5/6 students spent the afternoon putting their creativity, problem-solving skills and scientific thinking to the test as they designed and built their very own weather instruments!

Students were challenged to design, build, test and adjust their creations, learning along the way that sometimes the best discoveries come from trying something, making changes and trying again!

It was a fantastic afternoon filled with excitement, exploration, experimentation and hands-on learning!

33 Central SCC Annual General Meeting is tonight at 7:00 p.m.

Are you a parent, family member, or community member who would like to become more involved in our school? We would love to have you join our SCC!
The School Community Council plays an important role in supporting our school and students. Our work includes helping with fundraisers and school projects, supporting instructional goals, contributing to school policies, and helping strengthen the connection between our school and community.
We meet once a month and also organize a monthly hot lunch for our students.
Our SCC is an important part of making school programs and initiatives happen, and we truly value the ideas, perspectives, and collaboration that each member brings to the table.
Please join us tonight at 7:00 p.m. — we’d love to see you there!

Our little crew of Kindergarten students had a fantastic day exploring the Science Centre with Ms. Ray and Ms. Harris!

The day was filled with hands-on activities, exploring, experimenting, shows and, of course, lots of PLAY!

It was a great day of learning outside our classroom! Some of the best learning happens when kids get to touch, try, wonder, explore and play! 💜

🧡 Every Child Matters 🧡

In recognition of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day , our students spent time learning, reflecting, and creating.

Each piece represent represents a student who took the time to think about the meaning behind this important day: remember, remembering the children who were taken from their families and communities and forced to attend residential schools, honouring Survivors and their families, remembering the children who never returned home, and recognizing the lasting impact of residential school systems.

There is something incredibly powerful about seeing these lessons to the eyes of our students 🧡

Safe to say our fall scavenger hunt was a blast!

The Grade 1/2s have been learning all about the different seasons and changes that happen throughout the year. Today, we headed outside for a fall scavenger hunt to observe some of the changes we’ve been noticing around us.

We had so much fun discovering all kinds of signs of fall and connecting what we’ve been learning in the classroom to the world around us.
