Just a reminder that our survey deadline is today! If you cannot make it into the office to drop it off you can send the Village an email and I can account for it that way! Once again this is not a binding survey and solely for the purpose of engaging the community and getting residents input as well!

Please disregard the part about unreturned surveys being counted in favour. That should never have been added in there. Regardless, these surveys do not necessarily mean that laying hens will be allowed within the Village. They are to gauge the overall interest of the residents as a whole.

So please whether you’re in favour of chickens or not please fill out and return them by August 31st.

New 3-way stop signs have been installed on the corner of Main Street and Woodhams Avenue! 🛑

A mail drop was done yesterday in regard to the possibility of allowing laying hens to be kept within Village limits. Please fill out and return the survey by August 31st. Any unreturned surveys will be taken as "in favour" of allowing laying hens. 🐣

With winter fast approaching the Village will be implementing a Waste and Recycling Collection Bylaw in the near future. With that said Council is requesting that all carts be pulled in off the street/boulevard within 24 hours of pick-up. If they are not pulled in within 24 hours of pick-up the Village will be picking up and removing them and they will have to be obtained from the Village office during business hours. This will go into effect next week. Once this Bylaw goes into force, there will be charges associated with obtaining your bins again.

There has been sightings of a badger roaming around the Village. Please keep all pets inside or if they must go outside within view.

Attention Fillmore: Our waterplant is experiencing some issues and not working at full capacity. We are actively looking into the issue but in the mean time please limit your water use to the best of your ability. We also ask that you check for running toilets or leaking appliances. Thank you for your cooperation!
