As the kids head back to school and we kick off September with a long weekend, we’re looking forward to settling into the fall months with all of you! 🍁

Join us tomorrow!
With targeted scams and safety concerns happening in our area, we believe this information is more important than ever. Join us tomorrow for our Seniors Self-Defense presentation with Chris Roberts, founder of SAFE Violence Prevention and Self Defense.

This is a knowledge-based presentation — not a hands-on self-defense class. You’ll learn practical tools, tips, and resources to help support your personal safety, recognize potential risks, and feel more confident in everyday situations.

🍽️ Lunch will follow the presentation for $10, but staying for lunch is completely optional and not required to attend the presentation.

We hope you’ll join us and bring a friend! ❤️

This is Eryn - For Eryn Morgan, Carefor isn’t just a workplace; it’s home. As the Program Coordinator at Carefor’s North-Stor Centre in Finch, Eryn grew up surrounded by the people and values that shape her work today.

“I was four years old helping at volunteer events when my mom worked here,” Eryn says. “It’s like having a whole bunch of grandparents.”

Now she’s helping seniors stay connected through activities, meals, and programs that keep their worlds from shrinking. From yoga and bingo to friendly phone calls and drive-through diners started during COVID, Eryn and her team make sure no one feels alone.

“It really is a family,” she says. “You get to see the difference you make every day.”
