Every year, the first sap of the season gives us a small batch of syrup that's a bit of a thing around here — and this year is no different.

Fair warning: this isn't our usual Beaver Valley Maple. If you know our syrup, you know what to expect from us — and this isn't it. The first run has its own character. It's buttery, it's got that old-fashioned flavour that some of you have been asking about for years, and it's genuinely unlike anything else we put out.

Available in 500 mL and 1L glass bottles, and — for this run only — 4L plastic jugs for anyone who wants to put a good amount away.

Quantities are limited and it goes quickly. Reserve yours below. Pickup will be at the sugar shack as soon as we can get it bottled (date to be confirmed). Cash payment at pickup only.

The Bakery of Flesherton Inc. has carried Beaver Valley Maple syrup from our first crop seven years ago. We are pleased to partner with the Bakery this year for a great offer around our Open House. Be sure to try the maple bacon donuts created with BVM syrup!

Customers at the BVM Open House or the Bakery will receive these coupons.

Thank you to everyone who came out for our Open House today and our school groups yesterday.

These were our first two public events in our history - we had over 150 children and 150 adults over the two days.

We had a great time hosting you and we certainly learned some lessons along the way! (Both for the school group tour and in having many more pancakes READY TO GO when we open our next Open House!). We were, quite frankly, blown away by the response... we hosted far more people than we anticipated!

Thank you to the Headwaters Academy students who helped on Friday (the whole crew) and to Marshall and Eli, also of HWA, who lead tours and worked so hard today at the Open House during their weekend.

But most of all thank you to everyone for coming out. We are proud members of this community; we are committed to this community; and we are happy to demonstrate that "not all maple syrup is created equal!"

Beaver Valley Maple is hosting our first ever Open House on April 1st. There is no admission fee and there are free tastings. Freshly cooked (from scratch!) pancakes are available for purchase as well as syrup (cash only). Facility tours on the half hour.

We have finished putting in our 15,000+ spouts for this maple season! We must admit that the sudden warm weather caught us a little off guard. We are thankful for this freeze up and down time to get rested again.

Reminder: our first ever OPEN HOUSE is on April 1st and 2nd. General admission is FREE to our modern facility. However, if you care to see our forests and the 'old style' maple syrup production you must book a VIP tour. It includes full hosting from our lead forest manager (including transport), meeting our sugar maker, and, of course, maple syrup tastings! If you want the full experience book here:

Beaver Valley Maple will be opening its doors for the first time for public tours on Maple Weekend - April 1st and 2nd! There will be general admission but also limited admission VIP educational tours with transportation to experience our most beautiful sugar bush at the headwaters of the Beaver Valley.

Tastings will be complimentary for all and include our specialty syrups. Pancakes available on site. All sales are cash only.

We are also opening to school groups on March 30th.
