It was great to hear from the community tonight. I appreciate everyone who came out to meet the candidates and ask questions.

๐Ÿฆƒ Happy Thanksgiving! ๐Ÿ‚

Today, a lot of us are sitting around the table with family and friends, talking about whatโ€™s going on in town. The roads. Housing. Main Street. Jobs.

Tomorrow night, bring those same conversations to a different table, one with the people who want to lead our city.

Whatโ€™s the ONE question youโ€™d ask a candidate for Mayor or Council?
Drop it in the comments, then come ask it in person! ๐Ÿ’ฌ

Hello fellow Flin Flonners,

My name is Steve Lytwyn, and I am seeking re-election for city council.

I was born and raised in Flin Flon, and I love this community. I am fortunate to have met my wife here, and together we have three amazing children.

I have started my 24th year in education. I have worked for over 20 years with the Flin Flon School Division, and in 2024 I became the Director of Education/CEO for the Creighton School Division.

I have a lot of volunteer experience, having been a member of the Flin Flon Rotary Club since 2015. In addition, I have coached numerous Varsity and Junior teams at Hapnot. I have also coached a number of house league and travel teams with the Phantom Lake Soccer Club.

I am running for re-election for council because I am passionate about Flin Flon and want to ensure that our community prospers. I feel that I have been an asset to the City Council these past four years, and I have more to contribute.

Why re-elect me:

-I am a strong communicator with excellent listening skills.
-I am hard-working.
-I have built strong relationships and established meaningful connections with municipal, community, and provincial leaders throughout the surrounding region and across Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
-I have dedicated my life to learning and teaching others.
-If you have questions or concerns, please email me at [email protected]

In my opinion, it has never been more important for all members of our community to vote on Wednesday, October 28. I would appreciate your support.

The community turnout for Greenstoneโ€™s Election Information Session tonight was truly impressive.

The panel was excellent, and the thoughtful discussion shared by everyone in attendance made for a very meaningful evening.

Itโ€™s clear that the future of Flin Flon is bright. Thank you to everyone who took the time to attend, participate, and contribute to the conversation.

Our community is stronger when we come together.
