Good day Forestburg,
What a summer it's been!! As summer is winding down, we have to say good-bye to the Summer Students. We wish the best to Maisie, Mathew, Kaylee, and Hunter. These four people worked hard all summer (in the heat and the rain). We appreciate all of your hard work and dedication. Your smiling faces will be missed...Best of luck to you!!

Starting tomorrow, Thursday August 20th, work will begin on reconstruction of the roadway base followed by asphalt resurfacing of 47 Avenue W between 54 Street W and 57 Street W.

Residents are asked to remove their vehicles from the Avenue by early tomorrow morning and refrain from using this avenue until the project is completed. Our contractors will do their best to complete the work as quickly as possible. We thank you for your cooperation as we undertake this needed capital project.

Good afternoon Forestburg,
A big thank you is in order for all who volunteered, participated and attended the Forestburg August 15th Fun Day and Parade. The weather was perfect for the planned events, but the PEOPLE are the ones who truly made it an amazing day. THANK YOU.
Thanks to Deputy Mayor McNabb, Councillor Fossen, Kim, and Craig for showing off the "Oh so cool" decorated float, which earned 1st prize in the parade!!! WAY TO GO!!!

UPDATE: Please be advised that the two dogs secured earlier today have been claimed and the owner identified. We trust that these animals will not be at large again and will address it appropriately should this not be the case. Thanks again to all those who made the Village aware of the situation.

Following up on recent concerns Village Staff undertook a search this morning for two dogs reported roaming around the West Subdivision. The dogs were located and recovered by Staff and we are now attempting to find kennel space for them so that they can be claimed. Once these arrangements have been made we will post where the dogs are located so that their owner can get them back. Please be assured that they were very calm and appeared to pose no threat and quite willingly were put on a leash and then into a vehicle to transport them. Thank you to those citizens that called and sent us emails about the situation.
