It was a Feast for the Senses brought to us by Let's Talk Science and the University of Alberta. The Kindergarten to Grade 2 classes explored touch, smell, taste, sight, and hearing through some engaging, interactive stations and games. Great (FREE!!!) STEM learning from Let's Talk Science.

It was a wonderful Wetlands Day as we sent our 39 rainbow trout from Bow Habitat Institute (Fish in Schools Program) to their new home in Schuman Lake. The Kindergarten students worked together with their Grade 5/6 buddies and tested the water temperature, turbidity, pH, and oxygen saturation before deeming it a good habitat for our fish. Then we found and identified a host of macroinvertebrates and capped it off with watermelon and s'mores. Global, Environmental, and Outdoor Education Council Take Me Outside Let's Talk Science
