We’re excited to welcome Rebecca to Rainy River District Paramedic Services as our new Logistics Support team member!

Currently enrolled in a Primary Care Paramedic program, Rebecca will gain valuable hands-on experience while supporting emergency services operations, helping maintain equipment and vehicles, and assisting with public engagement activities.

Call for Nominations: Are you a resident or property owner in the Territory without Municipal Organization (TWOMO) within the Rainy River District?

The District of Rainy River Services Board is seeking nominations for representation of the TWOMO to sit on our Board of Directors. Nomination period ends August 21 at 2:00 p.m. Election day is October 26.

Need help paying rent?

The Canada Ontario Housing Benefit (COHB) is a housing benefit that helps eligible low-income households afford rent in the private market.

The District of Rainy River Services Board currently has a limited number of COHB opportunities available for eligible households.

To qualify, applicants must live in the Rainy River District and be on, or eligible to be on, the social housing waitlist. Households receiving rent-geared-to-income assistance or another government-funded housing benefit are generally not eligible.

If you are struggling with high rental costs and would like to learn more about whether you may qualify, please contact our office for more information.

NOSDA is pleased to welcome delegates from across Northern Ontario to the Annual General Meeting and Conference, taking place June 9–11 in North Bay.

Co-hosted by the District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board and the District of Parry Sound Social Services Administration Board - DSSAB, this year's conference will bring together municipal leaders, service managers, ministry representatives, elected officials, and community partners to discuss the issues, challenges, and opportunities facing human services across the province.

The conference will feature a variety of keynote speakers and presentations covering topics related to housing and homelessness, emergency medical services, income support, child care, and community well-being.

Fletcher is one of our new paramedics, and we’re proud to see him featured as he starts his career in Northern Ontario with Rainy River District Paramedic Services.
