When you vote in a Developer for Mayor who gets votes by promising tons of crazy-expensive projects like it will be Christmas forever.....well the bills eventually come due. Let's get someone onto Council who understands fiscal responsibility.

So the by-election is coming up fast. Ol' double-dipping Misty is gone (had to be forced out rather than doing the right thing) and now we have a by-election to fill her spot on Langley Township Council. This is an important one because this election could either balance out the power and no longer have The Woodward and Friends Slate continuing to spend us into oblivion and creating what could be true generational debt or get a moderate elected who evens out the voting field a little. Personally I think the two front runners are Blair Whitmarsh and John Aldeg. In my oh so humble opinion Blair has always been a voice of reason and a voice of fairness. He speaks openly about needing to get our fiscal responsibility and growing debt under control. John? This seems like a desperate get back into politics at any level hail Mary move by Mr. Aldag. Rumours abound about his possibly being in league with Mayor-Developer-Spendcrazy Woodward. When there's this much smoke it's hard to not think there's fire. Go ahead and watch the Candidate's forum. Zoom ahead and listen to Blairs comments and answers. Listen to Aldag's comments and answers. It's all you need to know. Meanwhile what is the current debtload in Langley Township since the election of this Developer-Mayor and his slate of yes-men?

In case anyone else wants to rethink their voting for that guy and his slate of loyal followers. Does he and his slate remind you of any particular person and their slate of followers just South of us and their need for power at any cost? Oh yes and congratulations to Michael Pratt who I believe recently officially joined their slate (after being voted in by Langley folks as an Independent). Nicely done. By the way Michael, you can take back your FB friend request you sent me. I don't need friends like you.

Yesterday, the Township of Langley gave notice that it intends to terminate LAPS as its animal control services provider as of October 10th, 2025. During our 23-year relationship with the Township, LAPS has worked in partnership with three prior mayors and their councils to protect public safety and ensure the wellbeing of animals in our community. We are deeply disappointed by this decision. Despite the challenges this decision brings, LAPS is committed to keep serving Greater Langley with compassion and integrity.

Everyone enjoying your massive property taxes this year? It's going to get worse. A lot worse. Believe me, I'm not gloating. I'm suffering along with the rest of Langley. Remember the Councilors who voted to borrow even more!
Developer-Mayor-wannabe Woodward
Voting whichever way the wind blows Steve Ferguson
Why am I even here Rob Rindt
Don't worry George, I'll be watching him Tim Baillie
I just vote with Eric cuz I wanna be on his team Michael Pratt

One Councilor is just lost in the woods and far out of his depth. This will be a handy historic example to look back on in future elections why it's Never a good idea to elect a young, inexperienced individual with minimal life experience, work experience, family experience (other than being a child in a family) or has grown any ability to think for themselves and end up being very influenced by someone with a strong personality who can sway such people easily. Probably how Little PP started when I think about it. What a waste of a Council position that could have and should have gone to a more independent thinker who actually represents the people of Langley and the people of Fort Langley. Please never run again Michael Pratt and let an adult who understands right and wrong do this job.
