Planning a capital investment to help your business adapt or diversify?

The newest rural and remote employment initiatives program, Business Diversification & Sustainability, provides up to $200,000 to help eligible Northern B.C. businesses respond to tariff impacts through investments that support diversification, new markets, new products or services and improved productivity.

Here is your opportunity to take part in helping improve emergency services

✈️ Volunteers Needed for Airport Emergency Exercise ✈️

The Northern Rockies Regional Airport is looking for volunteers to participate in a full-scale emergency exercise on Tuesday September 22, 2026.

This exercise is a Transport Canada requirement conducted every four years and involves Airport Staff, Fire Rescue, RCMP, BC Ambulance Service, the Municipality, and the NRRM Emergency Operations Centre.

We are looking for approximately 16 volunteers (or more!) to help play the roles of:
🩹 Plane crash victims with varying injury levels
👋 Friends and family members ("meet and greeters") in the terminal building

📅 Date: September 22, 2026
🕙 Exercise Start: 10:00 a.m.
🕛 Debrief: 12:00 p.m. at the Terminal Building
🍕 Lunch Provided: Pizza

This is a great opportunity to support emergency preparedness in our community and help local responders train for a coordinated emergency response.
