The Parks & Recreation office is proudly located at 560-4th Street East, in the heart of beautiful Fort Qu'Appelle. We offer several recreational facilities and rental services to the beautiful valley community and surrounding area. Our local hockey rink, the Rexentre, seats approximately 700 with an adjoining lobby seating area that is accessible to the canteen; and a small conference room that c
an accommodate up to 30 people. Outside the Rexentre, we have 4 Ball Diamonds: 2 Softball diamonds, 1 Fastball diamond, and 1 open field diamond. To the East, outside of the ball diamonds area, is the Fort Qu'Appelle Skate Park for all the skateboarders to enjoy. We also have a 150 person-capacity hall known as The Fort located on the corner of Broadway Avenue and Highway 56. Inside the fenced area is a peaceful picnic area with 5-30 AMP RV parking spots. A great space for smaller functions such as weddings, family reunions, anniversaries, birthday parties, and meetings. It is conveniently located next to the Fort Campground on the east side of Echo Lake across from Echo Ridge Golf Course. The Fort Campground with its 84 electrical sites (15 and 30 AMP), beautiful tenting area, 2 comfort stations--public and customer, a boat launch, a fillet station, 2 camp kitchens, a beach volleyball area, a playground, and a Spray Park has attracted many visitors from across Canada! Besides seeking a summer adventure in fishing, boating, or swimming in the Calling Lakes (Pasqua, Echo, Mission & Katepwa Lakes), there is also the Fish Culture Station, tennis at Central Park, various walking paths, excellent shopping in town and at the Farmer's Market, and other tourist services. The event of the summer many locals and visitors look forward to is the Midsummer's Art Festival, held every year during the August long weekend.
