❤️📚 Happy Canadian Library Workers Day 2026!

Today, we want to give a heartfelt thank-you to our wonderful library staff and to library workers across BC who make our libraries such special places.

We’re grateful for the care, kindness, and dedication our staff bring to our community every day. And we’re equally thankful for the library workers throughout BC who help us connect our patrons with the books they’re looking for through reciprocal borrowing. When we don’t have a book on our shelves, there’s a whole network of library colleagues ready to help!

That spirit of cooperation is one of the things that makes our public library system so special. We’re all working together to get the right book into the right hands, and to make sure our communities have access to the resources they need.

To our staff, and to all the library workers who support one another across BC: thank you for all that you do. You make a difference every single day. 💕

October is Canadian Library Month! 📚

Normally, we're a pretty quiet bunch. 😇 But this October, we'd love to hear our 912 active library patrons GET LOUD! 📢

Let us know what our library means to you. What's your favourite thing about the library? Which program or service do you love? How have we helped you save money, discover a new author or connect with other patrons???

Libraries belong to everyone - and they're worth talking about. We're grateful for our patrons, staff, volunteer Trustees, community partners and funding partners 💖

100 new items were added to the collection again this week ⭐ Stop in - we'll see you at the circulation desk!

A calm, piece‑by‑piece project brought together beautifully by our patron Raezhun, layering colour and detail until the finished puzzle became a quiet little moment of joy.🧩🧚⛵
