NPSAR was tasked around 10pm last night to support BC Ambulance with an ATV incident off of Donis Road. Subjects were safety extracted and handed over to BC Ambulance.

On Saturday May 23, 2026 North Peace SAR was tasked to provide Mutual Aid to Tumbler Ridge SAR in rescuing an injured ATV rider near Quantum Falls north of Tumbler Ridge. With the assistance of Bailey Helicopters, we were able to access the area where the subject had been injured. Subject was packaged and flown back to FSJ and transferred to BCEHS for ongoing care.

A couple weekends ago some of our swiftwater team members and GSAR members completed their SRT-1 certification and recertification with ! This course timed out really well with our freshet conditions here in the North, and we were able to swim, paddle and throw bag in our nearby systems where we are most likely to be called out. A huge thanks to our instructor and everyone over at Raven Rescue for putting on such a great course. Our highlights of our specialty teams continues!

We have many specialty teams within North Peace SAR, and one of our most technical is our rope rescue team. This team is able to respond to our high angle tasks and provides their skills for the whole region. Thanks for everything you do folks!

Update : Stranded boaters have been safely returned. Task complete around 10:30am

Around 11:30 last night NPSAR was called for mutual aid to Tumbler Ridge SAR for two stranded jet boaters on the Pine River, South of Chetwynd.

Last night, NPSAR was activated by the Peace River Regional District to assist with the evacuation of residents Old Fort due to a landslide.

With the assistance of Bailey Helicopters, our team mobilized and delivered Evacuation orders to residents.

This afternoon, NPSAR was tasked by BC Ambulance for assistance searching for a reported parachute user potentially in trouble in the Beatton River Valley. The area was searched with assistance of helicopter and unable to find the reported person. NPSAR was stood down.
