Friends of the Fort St. John Public Library

Friends of the Fort St. John Public Library Friends of the Fort St. John Public Library is a registered non-profit organization that fund-raise and advocate in support of the Fort St. John Public Library.

We are a group of volunteers whose main purpose is to raise funds for the Fort St. John Public Library, mainly through selling used books at the library. We are a registered society in British Columbia and a registered charity in Canada. We have our own board, constitution and by-laws, and we work closely with the Fort St. John Public library. We also have two large book sale events each year, one in May and the other in December. New members are always welcome!

⚠️We URGENTLY need lightly used book donations for our Book Sale⚠️

Drop donations off at the Fort St. John Public Library circulation desk, Tuesdays through Saturdays between 10am and 5pm.

Please note that we do not accept the following:

🫟 very worn or damaged books
🫟 books with highlights or annotations
🫟 books with a musty or mouldy odor
🫟 textbooks or dictionaries
🫟 magazines, journals or newspapers
🫟 used kids sticker or coloring books
🫟 manifestos, flyers, catalogs or brochures
🫟 CDs, *DVDs, VHS or cassette tapes (*we no longer access DVD donations)

It was an honor to be part of this event and we had so much fun taking part. Thank you to 100 Women Who Care Fort St John for the opportunity and to the volunteers, sponsors, The Lido, and all the ladies who attended for making this event possible. What a great initiative!
