Through testing, monitoring, and analysis, they help ensure water quality standards are met and support the safe, reliable operation of the wastewater treatment process every day.

The warm weather doesn’t melt the grease away.

FOGs (fats, oils, and grease) may seem like they go down without a fight, but the real fight happens later. Over time, they can cool, harden, and build up inside pipes, leading to costly clogs and sewer issues.

Instead of pouring grease down the drain, let it cool and dispose of it in the garbage.

As temperatures rise, lakes begin to experience a natural process called thermal turnover. This happens when water temperatures become more consistent from top to bottom, causing the lake to mix and circulate nutrients, oxygen, and sediment throughout the water column.

You may notice changes in water clarity, colour, or odour during this time. This is a normal seasonal process and part of a healthy aquatic system.

This Thursday, we held our second session of orientation for newly elected officials and we were pleased to welcome 20 local elected officials from our 13 member municipalities.

Our officials joined us for a dedicated onboarding session following the October 2025 elections for an opportunity to build a shared understanding of ARROW’s business operations.

We look forward to continued collaboration to help build awareness about clog prevention and how everyday choices affect our wastewater systems.

FATBERGS. You may never actually see them, but they aren't just fiction.

These things made up of a mix of fats, oils, greases, hair, floss, and more, form massive clogs within our systems, and cause costly repairs.

That bacon grease you poured down the sink and rinsed with hot water doesn't just disappear, it just show up later... in the form of a fatberg.

April 28 marks the National Day of Mourning. This is the day to remember and honour workers who have been injured, become ill, or lost their lives due to workplace incidents.

Safety is more than a requirement, it’s also a shared responsibility and a core part of how we operate every day.

Today, we pause to reflect. We remember those affected, and we renew our commitment to preventing future incidents.
