"The cat is out of the bag" and The Friends of Fort Steele Society is delighted to announce that the Cranbrook Archives Museum and Landmark Society (CAMAL) will be taking the reigns for Fort Steele Heritage Site.

The Friends of Fort Steele Society has operated as the site manager for over 20 years and have maintained and preserved the buildings and artifacts for generations to enjoy.

CAMAL will see the town site into the next six years to share the beauty that is Fort Steele.

Oh my goodness, Mrs. Claus will be here too! 🤶The world-famous cinnamon buns, hot chocolate, apple cider and cookies are ready!

Father Christmas is on his way. He has promised us time from 12-3. 🎅

And wait for it....yup, just got confirmation from our Livestock Manager, there will be sleigh rides!!! Woo hoo!! 🐴

The staff is working hard to mitigate the ice, so be careful and bring your ice grippers if you have them.

$2 entrance fee

$5 for the sleigh ride, 3 and under free from 12-2 today

Did you know the legend of Father Christmas can be traced back to the 4th century? He was a Greek Bishop known for his generosity and kindness to the poor and is the Patron Saint of children. In the 19th century, the legend of Father Christmas evolved and eventually became the Santa Claus we know today.

Come meet Father Christmas of yesteryear. You met him last year and he has returned to visit with his beloved children.

ONE MORE SLEEP! 👻

We think the picture speaks for itself...the famous Fort Steele cinnamon buns and smokey roll-ups are on the menu at the bakery for Spooktacular! 😄

Additionally, we have eight food and drink trucks so there is something for everyone.
