The Office of the Commissioner of Official Languages is aware of a statement posted on Facebook last week regarding Virtual Care NB, which included a photograph of the Commissioner, along with her name and official title. We wish to clarify that the statement was not issued, written, authorized or endorsed by Commissioner MacLean.
The publication in question was posted by a political organization and does not the reflect the position of the Commissioner. On Friday, we contacted the organization requesting that the publication be modified to clarify that this is not a statement from Commissioner MacLean. The organization agreed to remove the Commissioner's picture but refused to remove her name and title from the bottom of the statement.

Le Commissariat aux langues officielles a pris connaissance d’une déclaration écrite diffusée sur Facebook la semaine dernière concernant Soins virtuels NB qui incluait une photo de la commissaire MacLean ainsi que son nom et titre officiel. Nous tenons à préciser que cette déclaration n’a pas été publiée, rédigée, autorisée, ni approuvée par la commissaire MacLean.
La publication en question a été diffusée par une organisation politique, et ne reflète pas les opinions de la commissaire MacLean. Nous avons communiqué avec l'organisation concernée vendredi afin de lui demander de modifier sa publication pour préciser qu’il ne s’agit pas d’une déclaration de la commissaire MacLean. L'organisation a accepté de supprimer la photo de la commissaire, mais refuse de retirer son nom et son titre à la fin de la déclaration.
