Haskap berries are an emerging crop grown in New Brunswick, well-suited to the provinceโ€™s cool climate.

As we enter the warmer season and plants begin to flower, this small, oval berry develops deep purple flesh and produces burgundy-coloured juice. Its flavour is commonly described as a blend of blackcurrant, blueberry and raspberry.

Harvested in early summer, haskap berries support crop diversification for New Brunswick producers and contribute to the provinceโ€™s growing agri-food sector.
