We came in this morning to an incredible update…

WE HAVE NOW RAISED $10,375.00 FOR THIS YEAR'S SUPERHERO FUN-RUN/WALK!!

That means we are officially less than $5,000 away from our $15,000 goal!!

We are SO GRATEFUL for the support this event has already received!! Every registration, donation, team page, shared post, pledge, and sponsorship is helping us get closer to our goal and helping us continue offering programs, services, and support for autistic individuals and families in our community!

To everyone who has helped us reach this point: THANK YOU!! This kind of community support means so much, and we are so close to the finish line!

There’s still time to help us get there! Register, donate, or support a team by visiting: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/autism-connections-fredericton/p2p/Superhero2026/

YOU ALL ARE OUR HEROES!!!

Dragon Mire Farm IS COMING TO SUPERHERO!!

We’re so happy to have Dragon Mire Farm joining us at this year’s 16th Annual Superhero Fun-Run/Walk. As an educational animal rescue and sanctuary, they’ll be bringing something extra special to the day and giving families a chance to learn more about the animals and the work they do.

Make sure to stop by, say hello, and check them out while you’re at Superhero!

We’re looking for summer volunteers to help facilitate First Tee golf during Camp Marvel!

We’re hoping to find volunteers who may be available on Thursdays during camp, ideally from 12:00–2:00pm, weather permitting. Golf typically runs for about an hour, with some flexibility depending on camper interest and volunteer availability.

Camp Marvel runs weekly from June 29 to August 14, and volunteers do not need to be available every week. Even helping with one or a few Thursdays would be appreciated!

This is a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys working with kids, being outdoors, and helping create fun, inclusive recreation opportunities for autistic campers!

Interested volunteers can contact us at [email protected]

Mental health support is important, and for autistic adults, it may need to be adapted to fit the person.

A recent study looked at outcomes for autistic adults accessing psychological therapy for anxiety and depression. The results highlight the importance of individualized, autism-informed support. Things like communication style, processing time, sensory needs, past experiences, and comfort level can all affect whether therapy feels helpful and accessible.

At Autism Connections, our ASD-informed counselling services are designed with those needs in mind, offering support that recognizes how autism can shape someone’s mental health, communication, and day-to-day experiences. We’re SO happy to share that Good Guys Golf will be joining us again at this year’s Superhero Fun-Run/Walk!

Good Guys Golf has been such an awesome community partner to us over the years. They joined us at Superhero last year to help introduce people to First Tee at the golf activity station, and they’ve continued to be a big supporter of our First Tee programming, including welcoming our participants to use their mini putt and simulator on the last day of First Tee seasons!!

Their support doesn’t stop there either. They support our Spares & Strikes Bowl-a-Thon each year and have even held their own fundraiser in support of Autism Connections!!

We’re incredibly grateful for everything Good Guys Golf does for our community, and we’re so excited to have them back at Superhero this year!!
