The School Days Museum is a proud host to over 14,000 artifacts from around the province of New Brunswick. We accept donations pertaining to the history of education in New Brunswick. For donation, we welcome our donors to drop off items at our head office located in the School Days Museum. We take special care of all artifact donations following specific methods of preser

vation and storage. Each item that you donate helps us to preserve and interpret the story of education in New Brunswick. Through our exhibits, your artifacts could become available to researchers, school groups, tourists, nostalgic hopefuls, and education students. Thank you for your continuing support! Warmly,

The 2025 museum summer visiting hours have ended. To arrange for an appointment to visit the museum during the fall or winter of 2025-26, phone 506-455-3693. If visiting, parking is suggested in the city parking lot at the end of York St. near the river. Pay the parking fee at the payment booth. The museum is located BEHIND the Justice Building; look for sign 'School Days' on the entrance door. Admission to the museum is free.

The School Days Museum invites you to a Christmas re-enactment lesson in the one-room school classroom on Tuesday, July 25th and Wednesday, July 26th beginning at 1:30 pm. Take a step back in time and discover what Christmas was like in a little New Brunswick school in the days of your ancestors!

The 'School Days' Museum, Queen St., Fredericton, will be open to visitors from June 12 to August 25, 2023!

Visiting hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-4pm.

Re-enactments in the one room school will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons at 1:30 pm. beginning June 27th. Step back in time and take part in a lesson as taught years ago!

If a visitor is planning to bring a group for a tour or to experience the re-enactment, please phone ahead (506-459-3738) to make arrangements with the summer curators.

Directions: Park in the Fredericton City parking lot behind the Justice Building. Pay your parking fee at the convenient payment machine. Do NOT enter the Justice Building. Instead, walk BEHIND the Justice Building and look for the sign "School Days" above the door of the museum.

Enjoy many exhibits from early classroom education: text books, photos of Normal School grads back in the very early years, countless photos of one-room schoolhouses, a replica of a one-room school classroom, and items used in those early school days. There is no visiting fee ... donations only. Sign the guestbook, enjoy a guided tour, and have an interesting peek into the past!
