Our communities are bursting with compassionate, driven, and grounded youth!

It is an honour to have reviewed all GPNB RDA 45 Scholarship applications and see first-hand the incredible young people being raised in our area. Green values are more than political jargon - they represent our present and future as we strive to foster a kind, healthy, and just society. This year's applicants demonstrate how these values can be nurtured in all walks of life and give us hope for the next generation.

For their leadership, kindness, and representation of Green values, we are proud to present Asia Johnson (HCS) and Janelle Gould (WHS) as the 2026 GPNB RDA 45 Scholarship recipients!

Local self-reliance is about more than economics. It is about resilience, community power, and making sure New Brunswick communities have more control over the conditions that shape their future.
----

Happy World Turtle Day 🐱💚

New Brunswick is home to three native freshwater turtle species, each playing an important role in the health of our wetlands, rivers, and forests. But many turtle populations are increasingly threatened.

Protecting turtles means protecting the ecosystems they depend on and the biodiversity that makes New Brunswick unique.

Today is the International Day for Biological Diversity 🌿💚

New Brunswick’s forests, wetlands, rivers, and coastlines are home to incredible biodiversity. But many species and ecosystems are under growing pressure from habitat loss, industrial development, climate change, pollution, and declining old-growth forests.

Protecting biodiversity means protecting the natural systems that sustain our communities, our economy, and future generations.

A healthier, greener New Brunswick means safeguarding the life around us.

Today is World Bee Day 🐝💚

Bees and other pollinators play a vital role in our ecosystems, food systems, and biodiversity — yet their populations continue to face serious threats.

Protecting pollinators means protecting the health of our environment, our farms, and our communities. A greener New Brunswick depends on it.

Check out Pollinator Partnership Canada’s guide on how you can support pollinators this summer!

-----
This is a great example of how Greens get things done đŸŒ±

A special thank you to our former MLA Kevin Arseneau for pushing for this initiative in the Legislature and advocating for a public review process. We’re excited to see the work and results that will come from the new Official Languages Committee and the public consultations happening across the province.

Public participation matters — and important conversations like these should never happen behind closed doors.
