If you’ve spent your career entering buildings on their worst days, you understand life safety differently.

Rapheal joined our technician team last week out of Fredericton.

He did this same work in Ghana - security systems, same fundamentals, different country, and different code. Prior to QSA, he worked in disaster recovery locally, which means he's spent significant time walking into facilities on the worst day they've ever had.

That’s a rare, highly valuable perspective for a life safety technician to bring to the job.

Right now, he's shadowing another one of our techs, learning our standards and discovering which buildings across the province have their own unique quirks. Every facility has them - and you only learn them from someone who’s already been in the room.

Before Rapheal even logged his first hour, our ops team on all levels all sat down with him. That's not a formality here. It’s an intentional effort to ensure we onboard people who genuinely care.

Welcome to the team Rapheal!

First stop: PEI with Ajax Systems. Next stop: New Brunswick with Mircom Group of Companies .

Two days in Charlottetown with local engineering firms and the first leg of the QSA Signal Series is officially wrapped.

Ryan and Bill walked through Ajax Systems intrusion and video tech with the exact people who draw these systems into a building before anything ever gets built. Instead of flipping through a standard deck, we put the actual hardware on the table so engineers could inspect components firsthand, ask tough integration questions, and dive into real-world project scenarios while a design is still on paper.

This is what showing up early looks like. Not a crowded show floor. Not a pitch. Just a room, an hour, and the right technical minds around the table.

Up next on the Signal Series: we’re bringing Mircom fire and life safety solutions directly to engineering firms across New Brunswick.

Day two. Same focus. Zero fluff.

We are back at it in Charlottetown this morning, walking PEI engineering firms through Ajax Systems intrusion and video hardware.

Same format as yesterday: one hour, one room, and the actual technical questions that matter while a building is still on paper. No static spec sheets or standard sales presentations today - just the demo kit, open dialogue, and detailed follow-up documentation sent after the conversation.

This is the first stop of the QSA Signal Series - focused technical briefings for the people speccing these systems long before a project ever goes to tender.

More stops to come across Atlantic Canada.

We love a good trade show, but today is about going deep.

We're in Charlottetown today.

Our team is with Ajax Systems to sit down with PEI engineering firms today for the first stop of the QSA Signal Series - a focused, one-hour technical briefing on what's new in intrusion and video.

No generic slide deck nobody reads. Just spec sheets, real case studies, and the actual engineering questions that come up while a building is still on paper.

If you're speccing a project and are based on the Island this week, there's still time to grab a seat. Message us directly to get on the schedule.

Last week, Ryan Masefield was at the Wesco event connecting with vendor partners and exploring the latest in security tech.

Tomorrow, he’s putting that exact technical depth to work in Charlottetown.

Ryan’s spending two days in rooms with Bill White and PEI's engineering firms talking security - not selling it. As a former technician turned Inside Sales Manager, he’s one of those rare people who understands how these systems get designed into a building long before a crew shows up to install them.

At the QSA Signal Series, that’s the real value: an hour of straight technical talk on Ajax Systems with someone who can answer the tough engineering questions on the spot - no "I'll check with head office and get back to you."

Taking what's new in the industry and bringing it straight to the people drafting the specs. That's the seat Ryan's filling this week.

Friday, 3:30 PM, 35 Avonlea Court.

Whatever the week looked like everywhere else - Moncton, Miramichi, or prepping gear for PEI - it ends the same way.

Co****le in the parking lot, food on the table, and the crew in one spot.

Next week, we're taking that same QSA energy on the road to Charlottetown for our QSA Signal Series engineering briefings featuring Ajax Systems.

But before the road trips start, we recharge right here.

That's the tradition now. Every Friday.

Summertime at QSA means two things: a busy field season and outstanding summer team members.

Huge thank you to our summer intern Emma Harris for crushing it over these last few months - from assisting with ULC inspections across the region with Peter to helping organize the warehouse with Jamie.

It's this kind of effort that keeps our install and service teams operating at full speed.

(And speaking of full speed: as our intern wraps up, our team is prepping for the Charlottetown QSA Signal Series next week, August 25–26, where we brief PEI engineering firms on Ajax Systems. Message us directly if your firm wants to grab a spot!)

Thanks again for a fantastic summer.

One week out from bringing the QSA Signal Series to the Island

We’re sitting down with PEI engineering firms to talk through some of the most trustworthy intrusion, CCTV and environmental tech on the market with Ajax Systems.

That’s what an hour with an engineering firm looks like at QSA:

- No pitch.
- Just the technical details your need before you spec a building..and some lunch.

Our team will be on the ground in Charlottetown on August 25 and 26.

Get the technology right on paper long before the tender goes live.

Here’s a closer look at some of the Ajax Systems equipment our team works with every day - hubs, motion detectors, door/window sensors, and keypads.

On August 25 and 26, we will be walking PEI engineering firms through this tech for our first stop on the QSA Signal Series - our 1-hour in-office tech briefings for engineering firms.

The goal is simple: get modern security and access control in front of the engineers drafting specs before drawings are finalized - not after a bid has already gone out.

Save the date: August 25 and 26, the QSA Signal Series comes to Charlottetown.

We're sitting down directly with engineering firms across PEI for a technical briefing on what's new from Systems in intrusion and video.

The idea is simple. Get the right information in front of the people speccing these systems before the drawings are even finished, not after a bid's already gone out.

If your firm specs life safety or security systems in PEI, we'd love an hour of your time that week and lunch is on us.
