Today, we remember.

We honour the memory of Constables Robb Costello and Sara Burns, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, and Donnie Robichaud and Bobbie Lee Wright, whose lives were tragically taken on August 10, 2018.

Our thoughts are with their families, friends, colleagues, and all those whose lives were forever changed by the events of that day.

Though time passes, their memory endures, living on in our hearts, our community, and our commitment to one another.

Forever remembered. Never forgotten.

We remember Constable Leo Tyler Francis, who died on this day in 1996 from injuries sustained while on duty in Oromocto, New Brunswick. Constable Francis was tragically trapped between a police vehicle and a motor home while serving his community.

Today marks 30 years since his passing. We honour his dedication, courage, and service. His sacrifice will not be forgotten.

On July 5, 1981, the Fredericton Police Force lost one of it’s members in a training accident at the former headquarters on York Street.

Cst. Perley Sidwell Calhoun was 35 years old at the time of his death . He wore badge number 48.

In 2025, the Fredericton Police Force dedicated the Fredericton Police Force Honour Roll at police headquarters on Queen Street. This permanent memorial pays tribute to the ultimate sacrifice made by Cst. Calhoun and other members who lost their lives in service to the department.

Forty-five years later, his service and sacrifice continue to be remembered by members of the Fredericton Police Force and the community he served.
