A Fredericton man is facing multiple criminal charges following a targeted drug trafficking investigation by the Fredericton Integrated Enforcement Unit (IEU).

On Oct. 1, officers executed search warrants at properties in Nasonworth and Island View, resulting in the arrest of Kelly Lee Moses, 60, of Fredericton. Police also seized fentanyl, hydromorphone, approximately $32,000 in cash, a sh***un, and suspected stolen property.

Arrest made in drug trafficking Investigation.

On September 10th 2026, the Miramichi Integrated Enforcement Unit (IEU) arrested a 47 year old male and 41 year old female from Miramichi in relation to a Fentanyl trafficking investigation.

As a result of the arrest IEU members seized 118 grams of suspected fentanyl along with pills that are believed to be counterfeit.

Subsequent to the arrest members executed a search warrant at their residence during which a sawed off sh***un, suspected crystal methamphetamine and drug trafficking paraphernalia were seized by members.

On September 10th 2026 Geffery Astle and Suzanne Jardine appeared in Provincial Court at which time they were formally charged with possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, as a result they were held in custody for a bail hearing.

On September 14th 2026 Astle was denied bail and will be appearing in late September for election and plea to the charges, Jardine will be appearing on September 18th 2026 for her bail hearing.

The matter is still under investigation by the IEU.

The New Brunswick IEU is composed of members from Municipal Police Forces, Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Department of Justice and Public Safety in the Province of New Brunswick, with a focus on drug trafficking, fi****ms offences and Organized Crime.

Arrest made in drug trafficking Investigation.

In August 2026, the Miramcihi Integrated Enforcement Unit (IEU) began an investigation into the trafficking of co***ne in the City of Miramichi and surroundings communities.

As a result of the investigation on September 4th 2026, a 27 year old male from Baie Sainte Anne and a 34 year old female from Miramichi were arrested without incident.

Subsequent to the arrest a search warrant was executed at a residence in Baie Sainte Anne, in addition to a vehicle that was operated by the two individuals as a result the following was seized:

- 148 grams of suspected co***ne
- 4 grams of suspected crack co***ne
- 2 grams of suspected fentanyl
- Canadian Currency
- Drug trafficking paraphernalia

Both the male and female were released from custody and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.

The matter is still under investigation by the IEU.

The New Brunswick RCMP has arrested two individuals following a drug investigation in the communities of Killarney Road and Penniac, N.B.

In February 2026, members of the New Brunswick RCMP’s Provincial Crime Reduction Unit (PCRU) and the Fredericton Police Force’s Integrated Enforcement Unit began an investigation into the trafficking of illegal drugs in the Killarney Road and Penniac areas.

On August 26, 2026, at approximately 5 a.m., members of the New Brunswick RCMP’s PCRU, Keswick detachment, Emergency Response Team, Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems, Fredericton Police Force, and Justice and Public Safety simultaneously executed search warrants at residences on Route 148 in Killarney Road, and on River Road in Penniac.

During the searches, police seized quantities of what are believed to be co***ne, psilocybin, drug paraphernalia, and cash. A 47-year-old man from Killarney Road, N.B. and a 24-year-old man from Penniac, N.B., were arrested without incident.

Both men were later released and will appear in court at a later date.

Coordinated Investigation Targets Illegal Drug Activity

The Fredericton Police Force conducted a targeted drug enforcement operation in the 200 block of Maliseet Drive early this morning as part of an ongoing Integrated Enforcement Unit (IEU) investigation.

The operation was coordinated with the New Brunswick RCMP, which carried out related enforcement activities at two other locations in the region as part of the broader investigation.

Members of the Fredericton Police Force Emergency Response Team (ERT), Patrol Division, Police Dog Services (K9) and NB RCMP ERT executed the operation between approximately 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. There was no risk to public safety at any time.

No arrests were made during the Fredericton operation; however, the investigation is ongoing as part of a coordinated enforcement investigation with NB RCMP’s Provincial Crime Reduction Unit.

Fredericton’s Integrated Enforcement Unit (IEU) is composed of Fredericton Police Force officers, members of the New Brunswick RCMP, and Justice and Public Safety officers. The NBIEU units operate within nine municipal police forces across the province, strengthening the coordinated response to rising concerns about drugs, fi****ms, and organized crime in New Brunswick.

The Fredericton Police Force remains committed to working with its law enforcement partners to disrupt criminal activity, enhance public safety, and address the impacts of drugs, fi****ms, and organized crime in our community.
