🌟 Community Spotlight: Meals on Wheels of Fredericton Inc. 🌟

This month, we’re shining a bright light on Meals on Wheels of Fredericton, a not‑for‑profit that help older adults and vulnerable community members live healthier, more independent lives.

Meals on Wheels of Fredericton is dedicated to providing nutritious meals and social support to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those recovering from illness, surgery, or injury. Their goal is simple but powerful: to help people maintain a healthy, independent lifestyle right at home.

This hardworking team operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year, with meal deliveries beginning at 11 a.m. daily. They proudly serve Fredericton, Hanwell, and New Maryland, and offer frozen meal options to surrounding areas including Harvey and Queens County.

Meals on Wheels relies on an incredible network of over 250 volunteers, delivering an average of 250–300 meals every single day. These volunteers don’t just drop off food, they offer a friendly face, a quick chat, and a meaningful check‑in that can brighten someone’s entire day.

All meals are freshly prepared and meet high organizational standards for nutrition and balance. They can accommodate a wide range of dietary needs, including allergies, diabetic diets, and various food intolerances, ensuring everyone receives meals that are safe, healthy, and delicious.

Due to rain in Monday's forecast, the outdoor Summer Concert Series scheduled for Monday, June 15th at York Care Centre has been postponed to Tuesday, June 16th at 6:30 pm. The concert will take place in the York Care Centre front parking lot.

We’re holding out for the sunshine in Tuesday’s forecast and look forward to enjoying the music together. It’s always more fun in the sunshine 🔆
