⚠️Cyanobacteria (Blue-Green Algae) Reminder⚠️

As temperatures rise, residents and visitors are encouraged to watch for cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) in all local waterways, and to be especially mindful of recent blooms in Grand Lake and Washademoak Lake.

Cyanobacteria blooms can appear as green, blue-green, brown, or reddish scum or foam on the water, or as dark mats along the shoreline. Some blooms can produce toxins that may be harmful to people and pets.

If you see a suspected bloom:
💧Avoid swimming or wading in the area
🐾Keep children, pets, and livestock away from the water and shoreline
🚱Do not drink, cook with, or wash using water from the affected area. Boiling water does not remove cyanobacteria toxins.

Conditions can change quickly, and toxins may remain in the water even after a visible bloom has disappeared.

If you spot a suspected bloom, please report it to the New Brunswick Department of Environment and Local Government Fredericton Office:
📞Phone: 506-444-5149
📧Email: [email protected]

We have a few exciting updates to share as we head into the second half of camp!

🌟 New Wednesday Adventure Day!
We're adding Wednesdays to our camp schedule! These days will look a little different from our regular camp days. We'll start the morning at the Cambridge-Narrows Ball Field, enjoy lunch at the Pines Conservation Park, and then walk to the former Cambridge-Narrows Municipal Building to wrap up the day. We're looking forward to adding a little adventure to the week!

Our Tuesday and Thursday schedule will remain the same, with each day beginning at 6 Municipal Lane.

👫 We've Expanded Camp Capacity!
Due to the popularity of the program, we've added 10 additional camp spots for the remainder of the summer!

To help us fill these new spaces, we've also expanded the age range for new campers. Children ages 4–10 are now welcome to register.

If you know any friends, neighbours, or family members who might enjoy joining us, please help spread the word. We'd love to welcome some new campers!
