September is Hunger Action Month and to kick it off Feed Ontario has released reports on hunger and food bank access in communities across Ontario.

"Across Leeds—Grenville—Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes, people, families, children, and neighbours are struggling to afford their basic necessities and need to turn to food banks for help.

5410 people accessed a food bank in your community.

38, 957 food bank visits were made by people and families seeking support.

7 visits were made by each person in need on average."

Hustle and Heart 99.9 myFM Radio's All Hands On Deck food drive was an amazing day of community! Thank you to everyone who came and showed support through your donations. You helped raise $2037.30 and 772 LBS of food and hygiene products!

Huge thank you to Gananoque Home Hardware and Building Centre and Baldree's No Frill's for being amazing hosts and sponsors as well as Gan Chev for donating the trucks to fill and transport the donated items! We are so grateful for those community partnerships.

There were so many other sponsors of this event that helped contribute to it's success as well and to them, we thank you deeply as well, we couldn't do it without you!

Special thank you for the amazing donation of $5000 to our cause from Shoreline Casino The impact of that will be far reaching.

Tomorrow our beloved 99.9 radio station is hosting the All Hands On Deck Food Drive for us!
They will be LIVE at Home Hardware and Baldree's No Frills collecting donations to help families facing food insecurity through the back-to-school season.

Thank you everyone who has donated at the Joel Stone Waterfront Concert Series so far!
In July you raised $1,135.75 at the wonderful free concerts that the Town of Gananoque puts on!
We will continue to attend the concerts every Friday and Saturday. See you there!

Thank you to the YIPI's and Gananoque Police Service for the great food drive today.
