September is Hunger Action Month and to kick it off Feed Ontario has released reports on hunger and food bank access in communities across Ontario.
"Across Leeds—Grenville—Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes, people, families, children, and neighbours are struggling to afford their basic necessities and need to turn to food banks for help.
5410 people accessed a food bank in your community.
38, 957 food bank visits were made by people and families seeking support.
7 visits were made by each person in need on average."
