At 1:45PM the Gander Bay Fire Department responded to an MVC on route 330 in George’s Point. RCMP from Gander and NLHS from Boyd’s Cove also attended and got the incident attended to…all clear was given and everyone returned to the station at 3:15PM.

The Gander Bay Fire Department was dispatched to aid NLHS with a lift assist 1:27PM. Back to the station at 2PM.

The Gander Bay Fire Department was dispatched to a single vehicle MVC at 6:39AM along with 2 NLHS teams and the RCMP. 12 members responded to the call. We assessed and secured the scene and returned to the station by 7:30AM.

The Mrs. Roper’s dropped by to see their Stanley! It’s been a great day of celebrations. There’s still food available…moose burgers, pork chops, fries, fisherman’s brews…come get it while it last. There’s tickets on the silent auction as well. MP Clifford Small dropped by to help with the Dunk tank and hand out a few certificates.

Gander Bay Day celebrations are in full swing, come out and show your support! Yes we do have Fisherman’s Brews back by popular demand! There are free moose burgers and hotdogs to show our appreciation for past community support in the purchase of our new Tanker. We have the tanker on display for viewing.

We will also have a limited number of moose burgers and Hot dogs to give away on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be games of Corn hole where everyone can give it a try, and we will also have a game where kids can try their hand at being a firefighter!
