We are now accepting nominations for the annual Joe and Clarice Goodyear Business Awards Showcase. We have eight award categories for this year's showcase, and we're looking for nominations from you to give your opinion on which local businesses are excelling and setting a strong example for others to follow. Our categories this year are:

- Business of the Year Award
- Customer Service Award
- Environmental and Sustainability Award
- Helping Hands Award
- Joe & Clarice Goodyear Business Achievement Award
- Small Business Award
- Women in Business Award
- Young Entrepreneur Award

The gala will take place on Thursday, October 1, at 146 Airport Boulevard at the Gander Curling Club. Doors open at 6:30 pm, and food will be served at 7:00 pm. Stuffed chicken and potatoes will be served for the meal, and the bar will be open for those who would like to purchase drinks. The event will run until 9:00 pm.

Tickets are available at the door and are $13.00 per person, or $12.00 if you have purchased the Festival of Flight button.

Menu includes bacon, sausage, beans, hashbrowns and toast, with juice, coffee and tea for drinks.
