All libraries will closed next Tuesday, September 30th, for the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation. Tuesday is also Orange Shirt Day (marking the history and ongoing harm of Residential Schools).
We encourage our non-Indigenous patrons to seek out out resources, events, and actions that support Reconciliation.
Conversations with kids and teens, at home and in the classroom, is one great way to start. We've compiled a list of digital titles to help start conversations, deepen understanding, and respond to questions that come up:
