Georgetown Conference 2.0 Solutions The Georgetown Conference 2.0 Solutions, June 2-4, 2016, will attract 250 Atlantic Canadian leaders all focussed on building vibrant rural communities.

The Georgetown Conference is rural Atlantic Canada’s response to pressures facing the region including demographics, out-migration, reliance on traditional industries and negative perceptions – both within and outside the region. It will be a conference of ideas and attract people at the community level who can work to build vital communities and effect change when they return home. It is a confer

ence independent in perspective. It is not reliant on government funding or input. It is a conference that will harness the collective power of Newspapers Atlantic to generate pre-conference interest, identify speakers and attendees and maintain momentum post conference. We’re in favour of action, of there being ‘takeaways’ from the Conference, things that people can do. People are looking for champions, and for inspiration.
