We love the transformations that events bring to Waterfront’s Johnson Hall, but there’s something extra special about a wedding.

Maybe it’s the floor-to-ceiling windows, letting natural light fill the room. Maybe it’s the warm wood floors, or the view of Lake Winnipeg and the Gimli Harbour. And of course, it’s the table settings and decor, celebrating happy couples.

🇮🇸 We flew the Icelandic flag high this past weekend, with a front row seat to all the action. Being right in the middle of it all means residents from Stefanson Hús and Waterfront Centre could take in so much of the festival, some watching straight from their balconies, others just steps away from the excitement.

From the Viking Village battles to the Strongman competition, the parade, downtown vendors, and music down at the harbour, and the incredible fireworks show, there was plenty to see without ever having to go far.

For many residents, this festival has been part of their lives for decades, and getting to experience it up close, right where they live, is something special. 🇮🇸
