Today we had the opportunity to attend the Kinuso Elder Week event and introduce The Iris Project to members of the community.

It was wonderful meeting so many people, sharing information about our services, and connecting with individuals, families, and community partners.

The Iris Project Inc. is growing, and we are currently looking for compassionate, dependable, and community-minded Support Workers to join our team in the High Prairie and Slave Lake regions.

Our services support:
• Seniors
• Individuals with disabilities
• Families and youth

Duties may include:
✔ Personal care support & companionship
✔ Community outings
✔ Respite support
✔ Light homemaking assistance
✔ Medical transportation & appointments
✔ Running errands and community support
✔ Encouraging independence and inclusion

Requirements include:
• Valid Driver’s License & reliable vehicle
• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
• First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain)
• Intervention Record Check (IRC)
• Compassion, reliability, and strong communication skills

Approved for home care… but still waiting?

If you or your loved one has approved home care hours but isn’t receiving all of the support, you may have options.

Ask your case manager about the Client Directed Home Care Invoicing (CDHCI) program. This program allows you to use your approved hours with a provider who can meet your needs.

At The Iris Project Inc., we provide flexible, reliable, non-medical support and offer direct billing through Alberta Blue Cross.
