Terra Nova National Park of Canada provides a stunning example of the Eastern Newfoundland Atlantic Region characterized by boreal forest and irregular rocky coastline. The landscape of the park varies from the rugged cliffs and sheltered inlets of the coastal region to the rolling forested hills, bogs and ponds of

the inland. Terra Nova National Park also possesses a rich human history including the remnants of both Aboriginal and Euro-Newfoundland seasonal settlements and the impacts of logging and boat building in the area during the 18th-19th centuries.

Join us on Tuesdays at 3pm at Headquarters Wharf for Taste of Nature, where you'll discover the traditional uses of local plants and hear stories of how people have connected with this land for generations.

Most wild animals have a keen sense of smell and can find your food within seconds, teaching them behaviours that put both wildlife and people at risk. Always store your food, cooking items, dog food and garbage properly when adventuring. Spread the word that feeding is illegal and dangerous! Let’s all do our part to help
