Thank you to everyone who came out to last night’s All Candidates Meeting, asked questions and shared their concerns.

Having lived here all my life and having spent many years serving this community, I know that ACW is not one road, one neighbourhood or one interest. We are a township made up of farming families, lakefront residents, villages, rural properties, businesses and communities with different needs and perspectives. Good municipal leadership means understanding those differences while never losing sight of the fact that we are one ACW.

Last night we heard concerns about our roads, winter accessibility and the difficulties residents experience when Highway 21 is closed. We heard about the differing needs of our agricultural and lakefront areas and the importance of making sure all parts of the township are heard and considered.

We also heard an important concern about access to voting. As municipal elections use digital voting, we must consider residents who may not use or have access to that technology, including members of our Amish community. Every eligible voter in ACW should have a reasonable and accessible opportunity to cast their ballot.

My years of involvement in this township have given me more than municipal experience. They have given me an understanding of our people, our roads, our communities and the issues that connect us.
That local knowledge matters.

Thank you for coming out, for participating and for speaking up. I heard you, and I will continue to listen and work for all of ACW.

I’m asking for your support to continue serving as Deputy Mayor of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh.
I’ve had the privilege of serving our community for many years — as Councillor, Deputy Reeve, Reeve, Huron County Councillor, ACW Councillor and, for the past four years, as your Deputy Mayor.
That experience has reinforced something I have always believed: good municipal government starts with listening to the people you represent.
As ACW continues to grow, we need to maintain the services our residents value, keep taxes in focus, invest wisely in our roads and infrastructure, and plan responsibly for the future.
Most importantly, I believe in fairness and respect. Everyone deserves to be heard and treated equally. We all play by the same rules.
My family and I have lived in ACW all our lives. This is our home, and I remain committed to doing what is best for our community.
My commitment to you: • Listen to taxpayers
• Protect the services we value
• Keep taxes in focus
• Plan responsibly for growth
• Invest wisely in infrastructure
