CSRD Nicholson Fire Department's Oli Goulet is off on deployment to BC Wildfire. Thanks to Oli for his dedication to training and the many skills he brings to the job. Thanks to the CSRD, Karen Cathcart, CBT, Golden Fire Rescue and all the Nicholson Training Officers for their support of the Nicholson Fire Department to help keep our communities safe both here and where BC Wildfire needs us. Thanks to all the Nicholson Fire Fighters for their dedication to show up every Tuesday and travelling to the Shuswap on weekends for training.

Here's to collaboration!
Tom Ford, the newly appointed Deputy Chief of Golden B.C. Fire-Rescue, recently led a firefighting nozzle training session for the Kicking Horse Fire Department at the Nicholson Volunteer Fire Department. Drawing on years of firefighting experience, Tom shared his expertise with the KHFD crew, helping build knowledge, skills, and confidence through hands-on training.
A big thank you to Tom and the Nicholson Fire Department for supporting regional collaboration and strengthening our fire service community!

The Nicholson Fire Department is looking for two new members to join our team.

We’re a close-knit, well-established crew within the CSRD Fire Service, dedicated to serving our community. Members are paid for training and call outs, and no previous firefighting experience is needed - training is provided.

Weekly practices are held on Tuesday nights from 7-9 p.m. at the Nicholson Fire Hall (801 Highway 95).

Update: Santa is running late, we are currently about 30mins behind.

Hello Nicholson Residents, Santa has confirmed that he will be joining us again this year on Christmas Eve! He will be leaving the Fire Hall around 4pm and making his way to Mountain Shadows first. He will make his way south from there; Champagne Rd, Day Rd, Habart, Almberg Rd, down to McBeath and Canyon Creek area and finishing on Horse Creek usually around 6.
