Northern Lights Wildlife Wolf Centre: Our centre provides people with the knowledge about our wolves, wolves in the wild and conservation issues we have created over the past several years. We are concerned about what is happening to our wild wolves and the purpose of our centre is to spread as much public awareness as we possibly can because the more people that care, the more voices we have. Did you know the BC government is considering extending it's wolf culling program (aerial gunning) that began in 2015?

Did you know Alberta is also still actively culling, using snares, poison bait, and aerial gunning?

Compound 1080 remains in use to cull coyotes and wolves. After the ban of strychnine nationally in 2024, the poison has been reinstated for "emergency use" until 2027...

These indiscriminate and trifold killers cause severe damage to the environment, and cause slow, painful deaths. Not to mention the other cruel methods being actively used, such as the 'Judas Wolf' program, for example.

Write your local and provincial officials to let them know how you feel! Check out the 'Make Canada Poison Free' petition on wehowl.ca to help ban these toxins from our beautiful landscapes. We are sure Ottawa would love to hear from you, too.
