How you can help:

Giving Food

Food donations including non-perishables or surplus garden produce and fruit can be dropped at the Food Bank

Donate non-perishable food items to the Food Bank bins at Overwaitea

Giving Money

Mail donations to Box 1047, Golden BC, V0A 1H0 or drop the donation off at the Food Bank during office hours

Purchase a $2 BC Food Share coupon when you shop at Overwaite

Giving Time

If you are interested in volunteering, we use a program called Better Impact for volunteer scheduling and contact. This program allows us to email volunteers, schedule volunteer shifts, track volunteer hours, and add special volunteer events to our calendar. Once signed up for Better Impact, you will be able to sign up for volunteer shifts on the “Opportunity” page. This way we know how many volunteers to expect, and you are able to sign up for whatever shifts best suit your schedule. Dear Golden Community,

We regret to notify you that the Golden Food Bank will not be open today. This means no food distribution, food rescue, farmers market coupons or meal kits will be available. We we will reopen for food distribution at our regular hours next Tuesday, at 1:00pm.

For emergency food access, the Lutheran Church food bank will be open today from 11am until 2pm, 909 9th street south.

This summer, Golden Food Bank is distributing Farmers Market Nutrition Coupons on behalf of School District 6. Eligible recipients include parents, guardians, and students connected to schools within the district (GSS, APES, Lady Grey, Nicholson Elementary or the Golden Alternate School). We invite eligible households to come see us during office hours for a sheet of coupons worth $27. Coupons can be spent at the Golden Farmers' Market, or any other market part of the BC Association of Farmers' Markets network.

Limited supply. Maximum of one sheet per week.
