More on RR 2212 ...
Due to the continued rain, work on RR 2212 between Dewdney and Grand Coulee is expected to be completed on Saturday September 5th. The road will remain closed until the roadwork is completed. Have a safe and happy long weekend! Be sure to check out Movie night in the park on Saturday!

Dust Control Work Beginning

The Town of Grand Coulee will be touching up dust control on several roads throughout town, beginning immediately.

Please use caution around work crews and give them plenty of room to work safely.

If your pets are out on the roads while the work is taking place, we recommend washing their paws afterward. The dust control product is non-toxic; however, the salt content may cause irritation or sensitivity to some pets’ paws.

RR 2212 Road Closure & Resurfacing

Please be advised that road work is being completed on RR 2212 between Dewdney and Grand Coulee.

The road closure for resurfacing has been moved ahead of schedule and will take place September 3 and 4.

Grading will be taking place today, September 2, so residents are encouraged to avoid this section of RR 2212 if possible while the work is underway.

The resurfacing will include the application of SB90, with the completed road surface being approximately 10 metres wide—wider than the previous surface.

Please plan an alternate route and allow additional time for travel while this work is being completed.

PANCAKE BREAKFAST AT THE HOEDOWN!
The Stewart Nicks School Community Council will be serving up a delicious pancake breakfast during the Harvest Hoedown!
Tickets are $10 for an adult (11+) and $5 for youth (3-10). Children are 2 and under are free.
Come enjoy a hearty breakfast and support a great cause. All proceeds will go toward the new playground project at Stewart Nicks School!

Road Update – RR 2212

The RM of Sherwood began an attempt this morning to grade RR 2212 between Grand Coulee and Dewdney. Unfortunately, the continuing rain has created muddy conditions that have forced the RM to suspend the work for now.

Residents are asked to avoid this section of RR 2212 whenever possible until conditions dry up and the RM is able to complete the grading.

Looking ahead, resurfacing of RR 2212 is scheduled to begin September 14.

The Town and RM of Sherwood continue to appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we work through this difficult transition and toward improved road conditions.
