Wednesday Evenings are for informal gathering & creating — tonight (Wednesday, May 13) from 6-8pm, craft your own (wearable!) paper mâché mask!

All materials are provided & instruction is (generously!) volunteer-led.

Les mercredis soirs sont consacrés à des rencontres informelles et à la création — ce soir (mercredi 13 mai) de 18 h à 20 h, venez fabriquer votre propre masque (à porter !) en papier mâché !

Tout le matériel est fourni et l'atelier est animé (avec beaucoup de générosité !) par des bénévoles.

🚗 🏃‍♀️ Need to get away from it all?

🌲 Starting May 15th, you can explore the natural beauty of New Brunswick with a Provincial Parks Day Pass from your local public library!

💳 From May 15 to October 11, 2026, you can borrow a pass which gives you one day’s admission to an NB Park of your choosing – for free! All you need is a library card.

🏕️You can select from one of the following parks:
Fundy Trail Provincial Park
Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park
Mt. Carleton Provincial Park
Murray Beach Provincial Park
New River Beach Provincial Park
Parlee Beach Provincial Park

There are only 500 passes available per day, and they must be used within 3 days of when they were borrowed. Contact the library to learn more.

Besoin de vous évader ? À partir du 15 mai, vous pourrez explorer la beauté naturelle du Nouveau-Brunswick avec un laissez-passer journalier pour les parcs provinciaux de votre bibliothèque publique locale !

Du 15 mai au 11 octobre 2026, vous pouvez emprunter un laissez-passer qui vous donne accès pour une journée à un parc du Nouveau-Brunswick de votre choix – gratuitement ! Tout ce dont vous avez besoin est une carte de bibliothèque.

Vous pouvez choisir parmi l'un des parcs suivants :
Parc provincial Mont-Carleton
Parc provincial de la plage Murray
Parc provincial de la plage New River
Parc provincial de la plage Parlee
Parc provincial du sentier Fundy
Parc provincial des rochers Hopewell

If you have a piece of art that you are willing to share with the library for the Spring & Summer seasons, we would love to display it & share it with the community.

Kate has been reading her way through the Bad Kitty chapter book series by Nick Bruel — and here she is with a library display she created to get others excited about Bad Kitty, too. ☺️ (We are happy to have a reason to support book-joy in whatever way it arrives on our library doorstep!)

A visit to the Ferry Library — restocked with new books, thanks to ongoing donations from our friends at Rotary Club of Grand Manan Island!

🤝 Thanks, as always, to those who quietly tidy the shelves during their crossings & thanks to all those who use them! We are happy to see books in hands and shuffled-books-on-shelves — good indicators that reading is happening!

📖 Graphic novels, board books, picture books, chapter books, books in French...what else would you like to see in the Ferry Library??

📣🌱 Exciting news — the Seed Library is BACK!

Gardeners & budding gardeners & not-YET-gardeners are welcome to come and check-out seeds! All you need is a library card. The Seed Library includes flowers, herbs, salad greens, and vegetables (with special thanks to Annapolis Seeds for many of our heirloom seeds!).

📣🌱 Bonne nouvelle : la Bibliothèque des graines est de retour !

Jardiniers confirmés, jardiniers en herbe et ceux qui ne le sont pas encore sont les bienvenus pour venir emprunter des graines ! Il suffit d'avoir une carte de bibliothèque. La Bibliothèque des graines propose des fleurs, des herbes aromatiques, des salades et des légumes (un grand merci à Annapolis Seeds pour la plupart de nos graines anciennes !).
