50 Plus - Big Horn Golden Age Club Recreational club for members 50 years and better! Suitable for meetings, workshops, movies and parties. Procedure:
Cancellation fee if applicable.

MEMBERSHIP - $30/year
BENEFITS
Being a member of this club doesn't mean being "old and tired" nor is it "just for the retired". If you're 50 and better, you can enjoy the following:
> A key to the clubhouse so that for the member still working, you can come and go at your convenience, with plenty of free parking for easy access
> A woodworking/carpenter shop with tools for the handyman or woman

> A large well-lit hall with adjoining well equipped kitchen and projector, for social gatherings, workshops, classes, presentations, dances and concerts
> A spacious lounge exclusive for members, where you can enjoy the following:
- shuffleboard
- carpet bowling
- darts
- card games such as poker and bridge
- pool tables
- weight training equipment - for workouts
- wi-fit and DVD fitness programs
- organ - for people who love to play music
- cozy library room - read, watch TV, enjoy a movie at your own leisure from our video selection, or maybe do one of the many available jig-saw puzzles while listening to music from our CD/cassette selection
- kitchenette - make a coffee and have a snack

FREE ONGOING WINTER PROGRAMS - weekly sessions in the following:
- The Way of Chi (Tai Chi/Qi Gong)
- Healthy Lifestyles (support group with discussion and sharing)
- Card Night
- Carpet Bowling
- General Meeting (first Tuesday of the month)

EVENTS (Free and some nominal fees apply)
- Movie Night ( third Wednesday of the month) Non-members-$2 per person
- Monthly Suppers (fourth Tuesday of the month) Members-$10, Non-Members-$15 a plate
- St Patrick's Day: cheese & green beer function
- Christmas Time: cheese & wine function/Free Christmas Day supper for all seniors in Grande Cache, spending the day on their own

PUBLIC RECREATIONAL HALL is available for rent. Facilities include:
Kitchen, washrooms, activity area, mobile bar counter (cost use) Optional equipment:
Projector and screen, sound system, large screen TV & DVD player. Refundable key and damage deposit, which is returned once the hall has been inspected by maintenance department and key has been returned within 24 hours after function. Phone for more details and cost.

Club discussion session Tuesday, April 14 1:30

Please attend if interested, as we hold an informal workshop on the complicated realities of dealing with death.
Club members will share personal experiences, challenges, learnings and suggestions and will encourage others to do the same.
Preparation and planning ahead of time can help to make a difficult time so much easier.
This event is open to anyone so bring a friend and share this message.

We’re teaming up with Kiknow Elders Lodge to bring a ribbon skirt class to the community. This class is for adults who are interested in learning, and spending some time together.

Every Monday morning at 1030, a small but dedicated group arrives at the Club to learn, practice and enjoy the art of line dancing. Newcomers are welcome and no skill is required- just a desire to join in and have fun. I had fun watching!
