🍁Canada Day is just around the corner! Celebrate with us on July 1 as Grande Prairie comes together for a full day of family-friendly fun in in the City.

Join us for:
🎉 The Canada Day Parade
🎶 Live entertainment
🎡 Carnival rides
🍔 Food vendors
🏊 Free swimming at the Aquatera Outdoor Pool
🎆 Fireworks at 11:30 p.m.

Please note that fireworks will launch from the Legion Field this year. Be sure to review the event map online before you head out for designated viewing areas and parking information.

This year's celebration also includes the return of the Accessibility Pass, while Grande Prairie Transit is free all day on Canada Day with extended late-night service until 1 a.m.

🧹 Despite the rain this week, residential street sweeping crews made good progress through Week A neighbourhoods.

A few areas were not fully completed due to weather and operational requirements. Those locations will be addressed when crews return to the Week A rotation.

Crews move into Week B neighbourhoods on Monday. As a reminder, the schedule is a guideline and may change based on weather, equipment availability and operational needs.

Residents can also expect more than one sweep of their neighbourhood throughout the season.
