The MPCSSN Lyra Supported Independent Living program equips youth with the tools they need for the next chapter of life. Each month, we host a series of interactive activities that help participants strengthen everyday life skills, connect with their community, and build confidence for the future.

Today, on National Indigenous Peoples Day, we honour and celebrate the rich cultures, histories, traditions, and contributions of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Peoples across Turtle Island.

MPCSSN acknowledges that we live, work, and gather on Treaty 8 Territory, the traditional and ancestral lands of many Indigenous Nations.

As we celebrate today, we also reflect on our shared responsibility to listen, learn, and advance reconciliation through meaningful action and respectful relationships.

Each month, we host a series of hands-on activities that give participants the opportunity to learn practical life skills, connect with peers, and grow in a supportive environment.

MPCSSN’s Luna program is designed to provide supportive, person-centred services for adults living with disabilities, with a focus on building independence, confidence, and meaningful day-to-day living skills.

This program offers individualized support based on each person’s needs and goals. Services may include assistance with daily living activities, support in developing life skills, and guidance that encourages greater independence at home and in the community. Luna also emphasizes social inclusion, helping participants build connections, engage in their community, and take part in activities that are meaningful to them.

At its core, the program is about creating a safe, supportive environment where individuals are respected, empowered, and supported to grow at their own pace, while maintaining dignity and choice in their daily lives.
