I just want to take a moment to say how incredibly grateful we are for the team at NAPA Auto parts for choosing us as one of the charities supported through your Show &Shine. Thank you Grande prairie RCMP! Your presence at camp meant so much to our children. For kids who are navigating grief and loss, having positive members of the community take the time to show up, connect with them, and simply be present can make a bigger difference than you may ever realize. Thank you it was such a special experience the kids got to tour the cop cars and they loved the sirens and especially the kickball

Last week, Grande Prairie Police Service Community Engagement Constable Mir Lodhi spent an afternoon at Camp Heal-A-Heart, joining the Grande Prairie RCMP and campers for games, conversations, and a friendly kickball competition.

Camp Heal-A-Heart provides support for children and youth experiencing grief and loss, creating a safe space for healing, friendship ,and fun.

For Cst. Lodhi, the visit was an opportunity to connect with young people outside of emergency situations, answer questions about policing, and simply enjoy spending time together. Thank you to the Grande Prairie & District Grief Support Association and Camp Heal-A-Heart for the warm welcome and for the important work you do for children, youth, and families in our community.
