🌿 Mayor Jackie Clayton has proclaimed June as Recreation and Parks Month in the City of Grande Prairie!

Recreation and parks help make Grande Prairie a great place to live, work and play. From trails, playgrounds and green spaces to recreation programs, events and community facilities, these spaces bring people together and support healthy, active lifestyles across the community.

Today’s proclamation also recognized the Recreation and Parks teams whose work helps create and care for the spaces residents enjoy throughout the year. πŸ’š

Mayor Clayton was joined by Heather Llewellyn, Executive Director of the Grande Prairie Regional Sport Connection, Greg Hearn, appointed member of the Community Advisory Committee, and Joanna Goc, representative from Canadian Tire. Through Jumpstart Charities, Canadian Tire recently played a key role in advancing the Jumpstart Inclusive Playground project in Grande Prairie.
