The Academy Grande Prairie Grande Prairie’s Premier Passion Driven Education Program

The Academy has been providing a passion-based education to student-athletes in the Peace Region since 2010; integrating academics, athletics, and character-development in every day school life. We are very proud to have Coach Chris lead our Academy Hockey and we’ve always known he was the best! Now the AJHL knows it too. Congrats Coach, very well deserved!

The AJHL Coach of the Year is first-year Head Coach Chris Schmidt of the Grande Prairie Storm. Schmidt led the Storm to a second-place finish in the Viterra AJHL North Division, the highest finish since the 2009-10 AJHL season. Congratulations, Chris!
