Please join us on Wednesday, June 17 as we partner with the Grande Prairie Airport to unveil the new baggage belt display. We are proud to showcase Indigenous culture and share the history of Treaty 8 Territory. This meaningful display will serve as a welcoming reminder of the diverse Indigenous cultures and stories that have shaped this region for generations.

Everyone is welcome to attend as we gather for an afternoon of ceremony, celebration, and community connection.

The event will include an opening prayer, welcoming speeches, the reveal of the displays, local Indigenous dancers, a closing song, and cake and refreshments to follow.

Program Highlights:
• Spaces available for children ages 3–4 years

National Indigenous Peoples Day - Pipe Ceremony

Thank you to everyone who joined us today - it was great to see the community come together in honour of Every Child Matters!

Each handprint represents a promise to remember, to learn, and to walk together on the path toward reconciliation.

Thank you to the City of Grande Prairie, community members, GPFC staff, Aboriginal Head Start Children, and families who took the time to participate and help make this event meaningful.

Together, we continue to create spaces for reflection, education, healing, and hope.

Day of Friendship Update

Due to the rainy weather, the hand painting of the sidewalk has been rescheduled to Monday, June 8 at 9:30 AM.

Day of Friendship - June 5

Thank you to everyone who came out and joined us for our Day of Friendship celebration today. It was wonderful to see so many community members come together.
