After many years of benefits from the investment criteria, the growth of Makivvik’s equity exponentially has caused overload of cash sitting in the bank earning minimal interest. Due to restricting guidelines from the criteria, the stock market portfolio can grow at a slow rate. This explains also why there is excess of money market holdings in the portfolio.

ᐱᓇᓱᓐᓂᖃᕆᐊᖃᕐᖁᖅ ᒪᓕᒐᖅ ᓄᑕᐅᓯᓕᖁᓗᒍ ᕿᒥᕐᕈᓂᖃᕈᓐᓇᖁᓗᒍ ᓴᑑᑏᑦ ᐊᒥᓲᓂᕐᓴᐅᒪᖁᓪᓗᒋᑦ. ᒪᑭᕝᕕᐅᑉ ᑮᓇᐅᔭᖏᑦᑕ ᐊᑦᑕᓇᐃᓕᑎᕐᓯᒪᓂᖏᑦ ᓯᕗᓪᓕᐅᔭᐅᓛᕐᖁᑦ ᑐᖕᖓᕕᒋᔭᐅᓗᑎᓪᓗ ᑮᓇᐅᔭᓕᐅᕋᓱᐊᕐᓂᒧᑦ.
Work is needed to update the policy to explore opportunities to increase the stock market for a better revenue generating approach. Of course the security of Makivvik’s fund will be the priority and the foundation of the investment policy.
