Blue Door Soup Kitchen The Blue Door Soup Kitchen offers hospitality as well as a hot and nourishing meal to anyone in need Meals are prepared daily.

The Blue Door Soup Kitchen was founded in 1982 by Kaireen and Roger Crichton in Sudbury, Ontario in response to major layoff at a local mine. This organization provides a free meal to 150 to 170 persons of all ages, each weekday. The Blue Door Soup Kitchen relies on three employees and many volunteers. Twice a week a warm meal is served: pasta, chicken, sausages, etc: the remaing days soup and sandwiches are available. Meals are accompanied by a dessert as well as tea, coffee and milk. Fresh fruit and salads are also served when available.

Our incredible team of volunteers and staff put their whole hearts into preparing today’s Thanksgiving meal, and seeing our guests enjoy it right now means everything to us. Knowing that the warmth, care, and connection felt in the kitchen made its way to the tables fills our hearts with gratitude.

A big thank you to Ramakko's Source for Adventure for their generous donation of 100 pounds of Spanish onions (10 bags, 10 lbs each)! 🧅✨Onions are the ultimate flavor foundation, and this donation comes at the perfect time for our soup kitchen.
